AAWF presented its second scholarship to Grace Ray of Lincoln Park on September 8th at the Lincoln Park City Council meeting. Thank you to Mayor Karnes and the Council for allowing us to make the presentation at their meeting. Grace is an aspiring singer and will use the scholarship money to help pay for voice lessons this year. Sing loud and proud. We wish you all the best!
AAWF presented its first ever scholarship to Lillian Zieger of Wyandotte, MI at the Wyandotte City Council meeting on August 31, 2015. Lillian holds a black belt and has trained at PKSA karate school in Allen Park, MI since she was 4 years old. We are delighted to assist her in paying for the costs associated to travel to Malaysia in September to represent the United States in a world martial arts competition. Best of luck Lil. We know you'll be great!
AAWF presented its third and final scholarship this round to Paris Meller of Southgate, Michigan. Paris is 11 years old and has been taking dance lessons for seven years. Two years ago she joined the competitive team, which travels to competitions and requires several hours each week of additional instruction (in addition to regular dance classes), as well as a number of different costumes. AAWF is pleased to be able to provide assistance with these costs and wishes Paris and her team much success this season!
